| Gentle Level 1 (including Restorative): restful, calming introduction to yoga and Yogic breathing techniques, teaching the fundamental postures, gentle flowing movements, passive and supported poses. This class is appropriate for Seniors, and anyone who requires or prefers a softer, gentler approach to yoga. This class is also appropriate for the mother-to-be and new mothers. Level 1: Instruction and application of the fundamental principles of yoga postures and breathing techniques, progressing towards basic Vinyasa yoga, emphasizing Ujjayi breathing, Sun Salutations, standing poses, sitting poses and Shoulder Stand. Level 12: An engaging practice integrating dynamic sequences of the fundamental poses. Students will have an opportunity to explore intermediate postures and varations, including backbends, inversions, and diverse Yogic breathing techniques. Level 23: A strong Vinyasa class involving vigorous sequences of Sun Salutations, standing pose flows, intermediate inversions, backbends, and Yogic breathing techniques. Previous yoga experience is required. Ashtanga Vinyasa (Led & "Mysore" Style): Ashtanga Vinyasa is a traditional style of Hatha Yoga, taught by Sri Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. It is a vigorous flowing sequence of poses, synchronized with breath, always done in the same order. "Mysore" style is a self-guided practice for Ashtanga practitioners, with assistance and adjustments from the teacher. Yoga and Body Rolling This class combines Yamuna Body Rolling routines with yoga. Body Rolling helps to release tight muscles and joints, improving flexibility, alignment and range of motion. The two practices naturally complement each other. There is a strong focus on the breath as we slowly roll out the muscles on 5"-9" balls, or use the balls as props in different yoga poses. It feels like a deep tissue massage. Please wear form fitting clothing.. Level 1-2 - Iyengar Alignment Based on BKS Iyengar’s Alignment & Postural Technique. Some experience required. Deepen your understanding and correct application of alignment principles with the use of a variety of props. Kundalini - Level 1-2 Based on the style of Yogi Bhajan. Some experience required. Exhilarating and dynamic movement, breath, chanting, and meditative focus. Kid's Yoga A fun, exhilarating opportunity for kids to experience a playful approach to yoga.
